Can anyone explain my stats please.

I get a lot of disconnects through the night when Im not using it, though I am quite far away from the exchange (about 3 miles) and have poor noise margin (usually around 6.4).

      Thanks in advance.

Hi mate - your dl sync is about right for your line att, you have quite a lot of errors for the short period the stats relate to. Check the cabling / faceplate section of the forum for loads of info on how to reduce them - usually internal wiring.

Thanks for the reply mate, I live in a purpose built flat, only have one phone point as far as i can find and its an old style one without the split faceplate.

do you think its worth calling BT to investigate?

Updated router stats now its been upa while.

I think your stats must be some kind of record for the forum as far as errors are concerned. Unfortunately, if you are in a pre-wired flat, with only one old type box, the fault could be anywhere. You could try BT, just tell them that your line is very noisy and you can hardly hear people speak at times, they may be able to improve it. Don't, whatever you do, mention that you are on Sky Broadband or that the fault has anything to do with Broadband. If you do, the anti-Sky attitude will kick in.

Re: Can anyone explain my stats please.

A record, great, lucky me!! haha

Never had any problems with AOL on normal ADSL.

Notice on Sky I have been dumped on GDMT, probably due to crap line.

Over the past week sky has improved a lot, I get decent download speeds for the stats I have (usually can get just over 3mb).

Lately I can stay connected for at least 10 hours before I need to reboot router so not really that much of a problem for me to be honest.

I'll leave it at the minute and if it goes back to frequent disconnections I will ask BT to investigate as I sometimes do get noise on the line (but not that bad).

Your welcome mate, if you have noise on your phone line than it could be worthwhile getting bt to investigate, I did and they replaced my mastersocket and the line to the box in the street - foc. As isitme says tho dont mention bb problems.
