    Sync speed & Noise margin

      I had an ADSL faceplace and my connection was worse with it.. I'm going to call sky again tomorrow and get through to the "tier 3" people and sort something out, even if that means having a slower connection. My router is regularlly connecting at between 4500-6000k normally at about 5600 ish. Obviously my line can not takes that so I need to be forced to connect at a lower speed?

      did you ever get a call from tier 3 ? I've just been on hold to them, they apparantly will call me back at some point..

      Connection disconnected loads this morning..

      Please DO NOT hold your breath.

      I'm still waiting. 4 days and counting. I'm begining to think that T3 either have gone on holiday or do not exist

      SNR has stayed at 11db or 10.9db all day but I'm synced at 2385kbps that gives real world speeds of about 2Mb.
      So it looks like I'm stuck with BASE speeds

      when you are sync'd at 2mb does the connection go crappy in the evening?

      This is the only day I've not rebooted to get better daytime speeds.
      I'm guessing that the 11db will still drop steeply but will stay above the 4db that cause the drop out. Usually I'm on 6.5db this time of night.

      No drop out:

      Synced ar 2386 all day noise dropped from 11bd to 7.2db

      Real world speed tests showin 1.78Mb whhich is not good when I should get 4-8Mb

      Still no Tier 3 callback

      If sky staff are monitoring this please give tier 3 a kick!

      mine manages to drop the connection even at 6.5db

      please phone tech support as they can resolve your issues,

      ok it can take time to get to speak to a tech, use the freeephone number,
      be patient, think of fluffy bunnies and rainbows when on phone
      "To help would be a great adventure"
