    Sync speed & Noise margin

      I went below 3.8db at 7:33pm and the connection dropped I have had to reboot twice to get back on-line.

      Now: 2947 kbps 51.0 db 6.3 db

      Edit: SNR now 5.9db

      Connection dropped at about 7:43pm router was still sync'd up had to reboot.

      Connecion speed now 4481 kbps attenuation 53db and noise margin 7.4db

      like clock work... Tomorrow night I might check when the steet lights come on? hopefully someone at sky can tweak the settings to my router resyncs when I go below 4 dbs?

      edit : noise margin now at 6.6

      I have a theory that the sun going down and the wire cooling is the problem as out street lights are not on at 7:33pm

      My SNR is still slowly dropping 5.6db

      You could be right, if only we can stop the earth spinning?
      hopefully some tweaking by sky can fix it? if I ever get through to the tweakers...

      They still have not called be back

      4.8db and dropping....

      I'm watching Brainiac at the moment and they have some great ideas on how to dispose of the router <Boooooom!>

      I'm watching this thread with interest because the same happens to me. I've written a tool that monitors web site loading times every 30 seconds and this showed today a dropout (loss of PPP - the ADSL was fine) at 19:26:46. SNR currently at a terrible 5.6db. I will continue to monitor and see if it bails out tomorrow at the same time.
