      Still waiting

Well here we are still waiting for activation, it was due today 8th September but still no joy.

I shall just keep going on my Virgin connection till I get activated, still got 20 odd days till my MAC code runs out.

Maybe it will happen tomorrow or the next day I can't really be bothered to phone up sky as all ISP's seem to be rubbish in the customer relations department.

      Snap!!!!

Not too bothered about the delay but what's annoying is the fact that Sky couldn't be bothered to give us the courtesy of a phone call or even an email informing us of the delay and the cause.

I'm beginning to wonder if their customer services & provisioning staff aren't all ex Pipex employees.

I can't even see anything on the Bt tracker site, so not even sure that sky have placed my order.

Spoke to them yesterday they said all was fine and it could be up until midnight that I get activated.

I will just have to give them a ring in a min and see what they say but not holding out much hope.

Is there a good number to reach them on?

I was also due to be activated on the 8th but as of now I'm still using my old Tiscali service. I can't even login to the sky site to check my emails or anything. I'm going to phone them today and no doubt I'll get the usual c*ap to get me off the phone, the same as I got last night when I phoned.

There are problems with the sky portal, but you will not know if they affect you untikl you are connected. You cannot access the Sky portal until your line is activated.

Just got off the phone with Sky, they tell me that demand has been high and they are just waiting for BT to change me over which should be in the next couple days.

Oh well, I refuse to get stressed out about all this (been there done it before) coming from Virgin.net I'm well used to the rubbish they tell you down the phone.

At least I shall be saving myself 10 a month when I finally get connected.

i also just got off the phone with sky via the 0800 number,

spoke to a nice chap called Lewis who was very apologetic said there was a delay with BT and he would get provisioning to phone me in 48hrs to tell me my new date
