      Router ... Flickering Lights

I've noticed - the indicators on my router flicker now and then - both the wireless and internet indicator - even when my PC is powered off. does this indicate there's traffic or something, and will it be eating into my bandwidth allowance?

Also - should I leave my router permanently on? It doesn;t seem a very "green" thing to do (overnight for example), but I'm aware that it's also maybe not a good idea to keep powering network devices on and off and breaking/remaking the connection...

      Thanks guys.

I already use a bandwidth monitor - NetMeter which is a very nice little app and does everything I wanted it to - just didn't know why the router was indicating "traffic" when my PC was off!

If it's just pings then I can ignore it.
