Using Router Before Activation?

Hi I recieved my sky router yesterday, and the letter giving me my activation date which is on Monday. I set up my router absolutely fine, saw the 'local area connection connected at 100mpbs' in the bottom right of my screen. So i load up my browser and get the server doesnt load message. I reconnect my old bt router and everything is fine. So do I have to wait for my sky broadband to be activated to be able to use my sky router?

Sounds like you are still active with your old provider.

Your Sky router won't work until you are activated with Sky as the authentication will fail.
