You have generated a lot of errors in just over 18 mins. Have you followed the advice in the forum on checking your internal wiring? Try plugging into the test socket for a while, then take your stats and post. You are also showing the 15.5 bug on your Attn, so reboot your router, this will be done of course, if you move it to the test socket.

Angry Re: Speed On Connect Dropped.

I managed to get promoted to a T2 guy today after complaining about my connection speed and he ran some tests. It turns out that i am generating an error every second so he has put in a ticket to BT about it. He has also told me that i am 3.8km from the exchange, where according to DSLzoneUK "You are around 1.56 kilometres from your exchange (as the crow flies)", so he thinks that the exchange is full and i have been routed to another further away one...just great

      Re: Speed On Connect Dropped.

Did he test from the test socket? I am 3.52 K (actual line length) and have an attn of 36, so if you are an actual 3.8K you must have other problems apart from length.

Oops, sorry. It is very unlikely that you will get anything like the sync speed. I think even under ideal conditions, the best that can be expected is about 85%. I sync at about 7200 and the best actual speed I have seen is 5800, which was today in fact.

well i had no chance of getting through to teir 2 today 6 indians - 4 cut me off - one asked ME what noise margin was - and the 6th was okay but useless

So after experiencing sky's level of customer support ive requested a mac code

my noise margin downstream is a measy 5.6db no wonder my conection suffers

I have had 2 or 3 cuts off tonight but on all I have managed to get connected more or less straight away.
