      Downstream SNR

      My Downstream SNR starts at 7.1db but drops to below 5db at about 7pm.

      Is there anything that can be done to increase the SNR so that the drops keep above 6db?

      Right looks like the ringer wire needs removing but I don't know what number it is

      I have:

      2=Blue/White
      3=Orange/White

      4=white/orabge
      5=white/blue

      2 & 5 are the line, the other 2 wires are ring and recall so they could both be disconnected

      I've just found this link

      Right I found a diagram here: http://www.readman.dsl.pipex.com/oth...ecatwiring.htm

      3=orange/white

      I have now removed this.

      I noticed my downstream connection speed has dropped 1000Mbps from what it is in the morning

      THe SNR is now 6.3db
