How long does it take?
Hi, my first post here. I ordered the mac package last Wednesday I think (or tuesday), and I was just wondering what the sequence of events are from now on, e.g. recieving the router, line activation etc, and how long does it all usually take? Thanks in advance.

Re: How long does it take?
Hi
Normally, you would get maybe a couple of letters with your username and password for the Sky Portal Sky.com - My Sky then one with an expected connection date. Then the router comes and then theoretically you should get connected.
From start to finish up to 14 working days I suppose.

Re: How long does it take?
i got one letter user and pass told me to wait 10-15 days for connection and allow additional 3 days for line to go live
in the meantime they should send your router (didnt happen with me)
but it all in all i waited maybe 2 weeks

Re: How long does it take?
Good luck
I have been waiting six weeks for user name/password. Had router sent immediately but never received an activation date (although it was active pretty quickly - shame I can't use sky with no password though). Rang them again today and got the same old story "its in the post" - terrible service. Very disappointed.

Re: How long does it take?
I didn't receive either and mine line was activated so I lost my access for a few days. The bloke I spoke to from Sky was apologetic and was typing and email to someone in another department about my missing router as we spoke, I could hear him typing away. Both router and letter turned up two days later and not the 11 he told me although I guess that is the worst case scenario.

Re: How long does it take? I had both letter and router within 3 days of my migration request.
Shame that apparently the MAC code has been rejected and the order has been cancelled.
I am due to be live with SKY to the 10th of this month in the letter (so in 3 days), but an hour ago on the phone I was told to phone them next week to see if they could submit the order again.
Not even telling me they would contact me!
Not sure what to expect now, as what I am told on the phone changes from one person to another.
I am very concerned my broadband might go off on the activation day, and to stay with no INTERNET at all until they sort out their mess.
Email sent to J. Murdoch, as it's shambles to say the least

Re: How long does it take?
Hi. I gave them my mac code late april.
Messed it up a bit so they couldnt carry on with application... but them applied again with correct mac. Router arrived 2 days later.
But last night i had a call telling me there was a error/Obstruction on my line so they cant carry on with the application again...
I now have to sort this problem out!

Re: How long does it take?
My Sky BB was ordered late on a Wednesday night.
The router, and also activation date letter, turned up the following Wednesday.
Activation/migration itself then took place the Monday after that, the day the letter said it would.
