      Wireless connection failure

recently my pc has developed a problem in that it won't connect to the wireless router in the position it has been in for months, about 15 feet from the pc. I moved the router nearer to about 6 feet from the pc and the connection is fine again.

My laptop which is close to my pc didn't have this problem with the connection. I checked the aerial on my pc's wireless network card and it hadn't moved.

I am wondering what might be happening to cause this problem. Has anyone got any ideas. TIA.

Has anything else changed that could be causing interference, a new TV or something? You might have to move your router!

      Re: Wireless connection failure

I occasionally have this problem with my PCI card aerial lead which has a threaded connector. If yours is similar try undoing it, clean the contacts (preferably with something like isopropyl alchohol) let it dry and refix tightly.

      Re: Wireless connection failure

I didn't think anything had changed at all, that is why I was curious.
