      Re: News Server

If you just want text then google groups or do a google search for free text news servers.

If it's binary news, then you're gonna have to pay.

      Re: News Server

Several, but you'd have to go find them. If it's binaries you're after then it's doubtful you'll get them on a free server. I'm using news2.homelinux.org for the text groups I'm with if that's any help.

I use eu.Usenet-news.net which costs very little for blocks that don't expire until they are used up. I bought 10Gb for about 3 and it will last me for well over a year. They do binaries as well. If you don't need binaries try news.datemas.de which is free but you have to register with them. HTH.

      Re: News Server

I use Newshosting. Newshosting.com :: Your source for Premium Usenet Newsgroup Access with the highest Retention and Completion

I am on the NH45 package which works out about 8.00 a month. The retention (if you use NZB files) can sometimes be as high as 90 days!
