      1.2MB/s limit - anyone else?

I use Internet Download Manager and for some reason it never goes over 1.2MB/s

Every so often it "tries" and then seems to get pulled back. If it ran for 10 seconds at 1.3MB/s for example or even 1.1MB/s then I wouldn't be concerned. but there does seems to be a ceiling it's hitting

I'm convinced that something is limiting this, but not sure if it's IDM, Sky or the Netgear router.

Is anyone else having this problem.

Your speed test image shows a result of 7341kbps, around 1MB.
I can't see anything wrong there, allowing for a little 'settling' at the start of downloads.

Transfer rates are usually measured in b (bits) whereas filesize is measure in B (bytes). 1 B = 8 b, so your speedtest / 8 = 917kB. You can transfer just under 1MB per second, though this is often slightly lower once you allow for overheads and network traffic.

As Mr Stabby says, there is nothing wrong with your connection. Although they have their uses, Download managers will not allow you to download faster than your connection, although many imply that this is the case. The only way you will get faster downloads is to increase your download speed. If you are getting 7341kbps consistently, you are quite well off
