      A Staus Page would be a good idea, but will they set one up? I don't think so, they would see an immediate drop in earnings due to reduced CS calls.

      they told me status over phone and asked me to ring back late tonight for an update if i still wasnt online ive spent to much on phonecalls lol

      Is anyone else able to run tracert Google from the command prompt window and get a trace on the route to Google's site, or any other site for that matter?

      I only ask as I do so there is obviously some connectivity.

      Do you mean you are still off-line? I think most have been reconnected.

      Yup - I'm at work but just got my gf to check and its still not working. Would a reboot of the router be required or should it just come back online?

      Yep, second major dropout in as many weeks. Not impressed after three week's membership. Tried to get Sky Customer Services to confirm the issue but that wasn't taking any calls. I suspect when things get hot they switch the line to loop you back to the 'Choose 1' or 'Press 2' lady. Again not very impressed. Managed to get through to new registrations section (well you would wouldn't you) and asked them to transfer me to somebody in the know. 'Yes sir, there's a major outage at the moment. No idea when it'll be fixed.' Well once you know what's going on it's not quite so maddening.
      Why don't Sky have a pre-recorded explanation so you don't have to suffer the run around?

      Aha, this is why when I tried getting online between 10am and 2.40pm or thereabouts I couldn't get online... I was hoping I was being moved from Connect to Mid or something! I did get online for abour 2 minutes a few times during this period and got three different ips assigned, 2 BT ones (81.152.141.xx and 217.32.29.1xx) and then back to the Sky one. First time I've had that personally I think but obviously might have happened before when not trying to get online.

      It happened to me on the same day as you guys. Was told it effected 50000 people.

      Unfortunately, I've just come back on after another 2 hours down this morning and 25 minute wait on Sky support line (so must be effecting a fair few again)

      Wtf? This is simply not good enough.

      Anyone else effected today?

      Lost connection here from about 10.45am to just now (so 45 minutes). As before, it shows no ip address and then when it does, I get a BT ip which I can't get on the net with and then eventually becomes a Sky one.
