my activation day was 9th and nothing happened and nothing was showing on the BT tracker site. I get up this morning and still on my OLD ISP but it now shows on the BT tracker site. So maybe the date sky is giving people is the date they actually put the order in. strange that they would site on the order for 2-3 weeks before placing it. As it says the order was placed on the 08 sept 2006 But I ordered broadband with sky a few weeks previous to this date.

I've had SkyBB re-ordered for the 3rd time according to Sky, and never had an order shown

Not true. Obviously something has went wrong with your order for that to happen, either with BT or sky.

I've got 2 messages, both started on the 8th, the day after my service was supposed to go "live".

      The first says:

      Placed 08 Sep 2006
      Description CHANGE
      Appointment No date yet
      Date due 25 Sep 2006
      Status In progress
      Last update 08 Sep 2006
Latest update Your order is in progress.
      Items in this order
      Description Item Quantity Cost Rental
CEASE (ADSL) BT IPSTREAM HOME 500 1
This I assume means my current ISP will be switched off at that date.

      Then the second says
      Placed 08 Sep 2006
      Description CHANGE
      Appointment No date yet
      Date due 20 Sep 2006
      Status In progress
      Last update 08 Sep 2006
Latest update Your order is in progress.
      Items in this order
      Description Item Quantity Cost Rental
PROVIDE LLU LINE SHARE PSTN 1
Which I assume means I won't get access to Sky until the 20th.

Called Sky on the freephone 0800 0510317 number and discussed with them just now. Their system shows the line as due to go active on the 7th. He says to wait until Midday on on Monday (No work done over the weekend - engineer hours are 8am to mindnight M-F he said). Backlog, mass migration, blah blah blah, you all know the score. He wasn't able to clarify as to when I would be charged from. The letter says the 7th, if applicable. I would have to contact accounts to clarify. Ho hum..... Still, it took Pipex a month to get me live originally so shouldn't complain.

      I JUST WANT IT NOW!!!!

I also asked sky as to when I would first get billed from and they couldn't really find out. So I put a hold on the payment until I can get some clarification as I have had sky take thier money off my credit card twice in 1 month more than once and it was a nightmare getting it back as they kept saying they wouldn't take anything the next month. Only for me to find out that the next month came and sky took thier money like usual. So I now have in place an order on my barclycard that only alows sky to get thier money in a 3 day window.

Just noticed I got another email from Pipex on Friday. That was the 8th. Its exactly the same as the one I got from them with my MAC code. I now have 2 emails from them saying they are cutting off my service in 25 days time with different dates!! The second one ties in with what I saw on the BT tracker page.
      Getting interesting now.

Lets see if I get connected tomorrow or not!

And then, how long PIPEX keep charging me!!
