      Hello Sky/Skyusers

I've been on Sky Max for a week now, my line was active a whole day early.
So far so good, but I do have a question:

I was told when signing up, on my line as it was new would take upto 18MBPS when they carried out the line tests. So I went with the 16MB package. Would the following stats show that I'm getting a good connection, inc noise etc? These stats stay the same when just the ADSL router is the only device connected to the phone line.

Note *I have been rebooting the router every day*

/usr/sbin/adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status

I have also tested my connection speed on many online testing site with results ranging from 8MBPS and 12MBPS (LAN and Wi-FI). Are these online tests accurate?

      Re: Hello Sky/Skyusers

Your stats look good, even though you are synced with the exchange at 15mb that dosen't mean you will get that on speed tests there are too many other factors involved distance to and speed of servers etc etc etc, I am synced at 8.1mb and I get around 6 to 6.5mb on speed tests.

      Re: Hello Sky/Skyusers

I would kill for a connection like that *Honestly*

Speedtests are never too accurate, Simply download ~5 Files at the same time, Wait for them to level out @25% of download, Then add up the speed of which they are downloading at.

tbh, 15Mb your not really gonna see that on every download/speedtest not all HTTP servers are that fast.

      Re: Hello Sky/Skyusers

Hi, I get about 1400-1500KPBS on downloads, I use Super speed 4 (Mac) to give me the full bandwidth as it does segment downloading, so if a server is limited to only 200KBPS is will make multiply connections to it.

      Seems to work fine.

I've also noticed that my stats have changed,

Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
