    Sites saying Sky was not in the UK

    This is a discussion on Sites saying Sky was not in the UK within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; Could someone retest the websites that were saying that their ISP was not in the UK. The problem with CNN.COM ...

      Sites saying Sky was not in the UK

      Could someone retest the websites that were saying that their ISP was not in the UK.

      The problem with CNN.COM and some other has been resolved. So I'm wondering if this issue is also cleared.

      I had no problem this morning testing the sites listed on a few pages

      I recall someone saying that they had a problem on the BBC site with downloading something. Can this be tested again.

      The cnn was a bogon filter issue (look it up on wikipedia).

      If sites think that Sky isn't in the UK then those sites reverse DNS lookup / reverse RIPE lookup are broken. Sky's IP address range is a new RIPE block, and is exceptionally large, so seems to be confusing a few things.

      Unfortunatly not all sites / transit providers follow the simple rules of da tinternet - things will settle down as the network techies get around to prod the people getting it wrong.

      the BBC have admitted they cocked up the other night, and so people couldnt watch the football, is this what you are on about Annie?
