Unhappy Help - Major Speed Loss

Hi, Recently my speed has dropped from around 3.8mbps to no more than 480kbps.

I don't understand this as I have changed nothing on my computer and it seems as i've been capped to 512kbps broadband as every test I do gets around the same 480kbps speed. The router still syncs at around the same speed of 4000kb to 5000kb so i don't get whats going on.

      Here's my stats:

Re: Help - Major Speed Loss

Are you using wireless or a wired connection? The reason I ask is becuase I have known the fault to lie with a sudden drop in speed on wireless ( for reasons to this day unknown!).

Re: Help - Major Speed Loss

Looking at the stats, It doesnt seem asif anything has changed,
      "Rate (Kbps): 4064 448"

However I know with Connect, Speeds change all the time (Training Period) that should only last for around 15 days.

Re: Help - Major Speed Loss

So should i just leave it as it is and wait it out? I have noticed though my noise margin is far higher than usual. It is normally about 8db.

Re: Help - Major Speed Loss

When people usually get capped, They notice having a solid higher noise margin, However I have understood that the connect pack cant be capped by Sky as it is controlled by BTw

Re: Help - Major Speed Loss

I don't know why i would be capped anyway as i've never phoned Sky about any problem. The only thing i can think of is that around the time it started was when we signed up for direct debit phone bills with BT and this shows up on the order tracker but that shouldn't do anything should it?
