Moved me to Uncapped Max ...But ....

      Lo all.

Good News for me ( with thanks to you all ) , I have been moved from 8MB

      Interleaved up to 16MB Fast.

After sorting out my internal wires , ( moved modem to BT main socket and bought a

adsl nation NTE-2005 Master face plate ,then fed cat 5 to the 4 PC's from there ) ,

I am still in need of a couple of questions answered .

1/ These stats are what I get as I write ( in the afternoon gets to 11.1 on SNR )

      and everything works great.

But come 8PM at night ...the signal drops to as low as 8.9 SNR and I get errors and

packet loss from then on till late in the evening .

I know the signal should drop at this time of night ...but from what I read , 8.9

      SNR shouldn't be a problem .

      Any Ideas please ?

( getting a cat5 modem to the ADSL socket lead ( 0.5 M ) today ...thats the last thing I can think

      of )

2/ Now I have been uncapped ... I ran tracert to BBC.CO.UK and others places ...and

noticed my local exchange seems to be the bottleneck.

Is there anyway to get SKY or BT to sort it out ?

It's likely only ICMP responses are being delayed from cr0.slin, as the replies from the other hops show. Processor usage for ICMP responses are often a lower priority to routing etc...
