aye not so bad service from sky

well actually sky get two thumbs up in my case went from orange 5mbit adsl that connected at 608k then over to sky's max package that comes in at 3mbit even with

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3680 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 61.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 5.8 db 12.0 db

and a hefty 6.5 km of phone line despite being withing 3 km of a exhange ok 2.87

      my issues only come from

1.) the crap router doesnt penetrate some walls at all but floors no problem took a bit of rejiggling to get sorted

2.) the state of bt's cabling now 10 years ago the line from the house to there street boxy thingy mcjig rotted through and now i dont have a test socket i took off the front to find a right mess and im not best pleased onto bt tommorow i didnt realise they left it in such a state basically the master socket is now out doors in some plastic box and where the test socket is is a kind of splice shoved in to feed a further extension im wondering if all this was sorted what effect it may have

but everything sky promised and by the date was spot on,,, well for me

No chance of that. My son's an XBox fanboy through and through. I'm not even allowed to mention the S word.

Hmmm i have the same activation day as you. Today or well what is left of it. 10:14pm still nothing no sync light at all. So far my broadband light is still out.... Hatch End exchange eh lol damn. Do the systems auto switch people on at midnight? Anyway xbox 360 rules . Sony are in a little bit of trouble with this delay.... knew it though. Great to hear you got more out of your line. I have very close stats apart from my noise margin is higher at 12db so i am only hoping for the same as you as that would be twice as fast as my current max 8mb rate. It is funny when i connected to max product for the first time i got 3.5 mbps. But as soon as my 10 days were up it trained to 1.8mb and capped me to 1.5 :S. I had 10 days of wonderful speeds though.
