Maybe it would be better to start on the Base package and then upgrade to the one you want once you've actually got all the bits and a working service!

Oh, I know you pay the higher connection fee, but at least you have the satisfaction of knowing you;re not paying for a service that you aren;t getting.

I got a call on Thursday saying my BB would be activated on 1st May. Still no welcome pack or router though. 30 April.

my broadband was activated a week before they sent me a 2nd router they swore blind they sent a first one but parcel force had no parcel for my postcode for weeks

i rang them they sent a replacement i rang them again 2 days later got a tracking number and it was here on the 3rd day

ring parcel force and see if you have anything being sent to your postcode

Re: How long for welcome pack to arrive?

I called Sky today as my activation date is tomorrow. As I have problems with couriers not leaving attempted delivery cards in my area, I asked the lady at Sky if my welcome pack had been dispatched.

Me: "Hi, could you tell me if my pack has been dispatched?"
Lady: "Your welcome pack will be with you in three to four days"
Me: "Thank you, does that mean it has been dispatched?"
Lady: " I just told you. It will be with you in three to four days!"

LOL! Sounds like she was avoiding the question!

She is avoiding the question. Either she doesn't know the answer or it hasn't been sent yet and they are fobbing you off to :-

      a) give them 4 more days to get it to you (if she orders it now)
      b) in 4 days time you will be through to complain to someone else and she couldn't care less.

this is my 2nd router they sent

they get a confirmation email (sky) sent to them as soon as its ordered before 12pm so on that day they will have your tracking number dont let them fob you off

Re: How long for welcome pack to arrive?

Ooh, I have no intention of letting them fob me off. At the very least, I expect a month free for receiving my welcome pack after my activation date.

Also, do not underestimate how much it costs to call Sky Customer Services! My last phone bill had a fivers worth on it...

I believe there is an 8 day cooling off period after activation date? If it looks like my welcome pack isn't here before then, I will cancel my order. No skin off my nose, I am actually quite happy to give Sky my money but if they don't want it, I'll quite happily give it to somebody else!

I have been without internet for about three weeks now. The strangest thing happened the other day. Two days after I had left my old ISP I noticed a woman in my flat, turns out I have a girlfriend!
