Connected today, my pennys worth
Ok here i am sitting in the garden half day off work in the nice windy sun. I have stolen my next door neighbours wireless internet as mine is currently down. As of 12am nildram max dsl was turned off. It is now 1:50pm and i am stil not connected. I got 2mb on max dsl 8mb. Line stats on that were attenuation downstream of 63.5 db and signal to noise of 12db. For people out there buy adsl nation master sockets and face plates. For long lines like myself it really helps i changed all 3 of my points inthe house and it really keot the snr at 12db not dropping nowhere .
Waiting....... well ill post my line stats when i get them and i am not sure exacly how long it is meant to take for them to switch it over to be honest.
Cya later people, great forum btw taken this long for anyone else?

Wouldn't take much heed if it says "in progress", BT's site doesn't update in real time, it may be tonight or tomorrow before the tracking page updates that the job has been completed. I reckon you'll be switched by BT today, although you may have to wait until tomorrow morning before Sky activate your account at their end.

Ahh Rico that gives me peace of mind then. I thought the line only gets taken down and switched over for an hour. BT mucked up the orders so my activation date got put back. I just wanted to know because im hoping my line is not turned off and someone forgot to turn it back on lol. BTW the peeps next door are nice. Im not leeching just posting to this forum. The would not mind i am sure. But then i am not really sure what house the signal is coming from. all i know is they have much better line attenuation than me logging onto their bt router. 48db compared to my 63.5db that is so unfair! They are only on the standard 512k though. But hey that would mean an extra couple of meg download on a 16mb adsl2+. Ahh life is just not fair sometimes. But i do feel for the people that only get 600k. Bet we all can not wait for BT to install the DSLAMS into the junction boxes
