      Unhappy Help...in broadband limbo:(

Right, line went active on 4/04/07 so i thought i'd phone up on the following day to see if i could have the tracking number (knowing that the router's sent out after activation on the connect package).Could't get one so gave it till the sunday evening....still no number/record of it so manual order raised.
      Tuesday.....same again.
Friday.....no sign of the ghost router, phoned again and told it has been sent,"can i have the tracking number please?"...couldn't give it to me,data protection act was quoted, but speak to cs and they'll sort it for you.
One call and 5 mins on hold "sorry,we can't find a record of one being sent...."

Apparently,my details were passed onto his line manager and now it' waiting time again.
Already been charged 12.50 for the part month witn no use on it.

      p.s
Recieved the welcome to bb letter saturday morning, this any sign that things are moving?

      p.p.s
Typing on a xdaii is a right royal pain!

      Cheers.

Been having intermittent download speed problems myself, tech support not very good, call centre in India, and they read from set and rigid scripts with no flexibility, touch wood think I have sorted download problems by swapping d-links around. Having worked at NTL some time ago at least we had English speaking and technical know-how people on the end of a line.

      Update...

Well, after phoning on sunday for a trackiing number again and then being told that it's already been delievered!!!(but of course,no signature available.....wrong thing to say with me being a courier ) a rant ensured and the end result was a promise by cs that i'd be able to obtain a tracking number wendsday morning.
Though i'd check with 'em this morning just incase and i'm glad i was sitting down ....got one and it's sitting in my local depot and should be with me later today!

Here's hoping for a smooth plugin

i had that once - your right when you deal with PODs for a living you laugh when they come back with a result like this.

it's city link who deliver the router if i recall rightly.. they are ususally good. although with no pod i'd just accuse sky of not sending it - i'm sure you know where im coming from.

Oh well, i hope it all goes well for you, btw they cannot begin to charge you until the service is live so i would demand that 12.50 back - they cannot refuse

Well, the box got @ my local parcelforce depot (gillingham i think) yesterday (16/04/07) @ 11am and was marked for delivery @ 02:10 this morning.
Already been told i'll get a refund on that 12.50 on next months bill.
Still,a day off isn't too bad, polishing off the last of the strawberry pavlova the other half made last night watching the superbikes on the telly!
