      Its A Miricle

yesterday i went to pc world to buy a belkin double shielded gold plated modem cable, which should help help your connection compared to the basic cheapo one which comes with all routes. any way when i got home i connected one end to my router ,as you do, then the other end to the filter, which came with my router, and straight into the master socket. no different to my setup before i bought the cable.

i went to the router menu and to connection details, and it still was connecting to the exchange at 4096 kb. BUT THEN I RELISED THAT MY LINE ATTUATION DROPED FROM 45db TO A STUNNING 15db.

can any one explain why this has happend.
is this a router problem or has it made a difference.
i am 2.36 km away from the exchange

      any ideas would be great

      Was it possibly 15.5?

I ask as this is a known glitch on the Sky router

      Re: Its A Miricle

If you put the original cable back I bet you will get the same results.
There are too many snake oil outfits trying to sell overpriced leads that apart from looking pretty make b***** all difference to your connection.

I'd take it back for a refund.
