Use mognuts link in my sig and post your full router stats (do it when the erratic downloads are happening).

Re: Normal to get erratic download rates?

You are getting periods of very high CRC errors, this will cause the problem! you need if possible to try plugging into the test socket behind the face plate of you main BT "master" socket, then run the router for a few hours and then run the stats again, If the errors disappear then the problem is with your internal wiring.

Modem is running direct off the master. Apart from internal wiring, what else could it be?

Re: Normal to get erratic download rates?

It looks like i only get a high CRC (what does this mean) count when i have downloaded something big in size and at full bandwidth rate. I just had to reboot again to get my fast rate back. I dont mind if i have to reboot every day, did it mith my old voyager 2110 with BT.

Have you removed the face plate of the master to reveal the test socket, pulling the face plate off disconnects all the extension wiring so you can isolate the fault to internal wiring or the BT line itself. If you haven't already done it, it would be worth running the router for a few hours plugged into the test socket, then extract the stats again to see if the errors disappear if they do it is deffo your internal wiring causing the problem.
