Problem with web browsers not working

I've been on the Max package for about 2 months largely without problems, usually connected at a bit under 15mbps.

In the last few weeks though, a recurring problem has started. At totally random times my internet browsers don't work and act as if there is no connection (I have tried IE7 and Firefox, it's the same for both of them) Unplugging the router, leaving it a minute and turning it on again seems to have no effect. Generally it just starts working again after half an hour or so, but it can be very inconvenient if I need to do something at a certain time.

There is definitely a connection while this is happening, as although I can't access any webpages, I can play online games like Counter strike as if there is nothing wrong.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

I get a freeze every so often but usually only for 30 seconds or so. I have kind of got used to it so it doesn't bother me because I know everything will be working again in less than a minute. I haven't experienced this problem over that length of time though.
