Having been using Sky for a week or so now, I have noticed one probem with it. I have yet to determine exactly what the problem is, but from time to time, when I tap in a URL, I will get "IE is unable to display this page".
This will happen once an hour or two. Sometimes it just happens for one single request and if I request again, it's fine, sometimes I will lose everything for several minutes.
What is odd is that it sometimes returns with this immediately, with no delay at all. When all connection is lost, there is a big delay before i get the message that IE can't find the page.
From what I can see, the request for a URL is going out on the SKY, I am thinking that the SKY DNS server is actually responding with "not found" or something. From time to tiem I seem to lose the DNS server altogether, which is when I lose all contact with the Internet.
Through all of this, email works fine, which is making me think that it is the DNS server rather than anything else.
I have two broadband connections here, and I can instantly switch between the two. This only ever happens on the Sky connection.
Anyone shed any light on this?
I am not that worried about it, it is not that much of a problem, just an annoyance.

Re: DNS Failure?
I had this problem on the standard Sky/Easynet DNS servers, Instead I started using OpenDNS and that seems to have fixed most of the bounces.
