      Sync speed same Actual speed dropped?

      A few days ago i was getting sync speed of around 600 and a actual speed of around 600 which gave me a download speed of 60kbs.

      But recently my sync speed has stayed 600 ish but my actual speed has droped to 130 giving me a download speed of 15kbs.

      I have tried the following
      • used a diffrent computer
      • used a laptop wirlessly
      • changed the cat 5 cable 3 times
      • formatted and reinstalled windows xp
      • changed the router to a dg834 instead of the dg834gt
      • used master test socket 2000ish sync speed but the same actual speed
      • changed filters
      • turned modem off for over 10 hours
      • rebooted
      • TCPOptimser no effect
      • sweared at it

      using all these methods in many combinations the actual speed is never near the sync speed it was a few days ago but something changed and now i have pants broadband.

      I know I have another post on this subject and i apologise but i think this post makes things more clearer as i have learned and tryed more inthe past 24 hours .

      I'm not sure what you are adding in this post or what anyone can say that hasn't been said in your other thread

      As Tezcatlipoca has told you a couple of times, you have a high attenuation, noisy line - and you've let your noise margin drop to a level where your connection will be very unstable and downloads erratic. At an attenuation of 63.5db you are at the limit where you can expect a reliable service. Improving your wiring/filtering and keeping the noise margin up at 7db minimum will probably improve things.
