    port forwarding-local intranet

      port forwarding-local intranet

      when i type my machine ip address 192.168.0.5 i get my local intranet

      but when i followed as it says here exactly
      How to set up port forwarding to an internal web server

      when i type my domain name i gor from dyndns or my router external ipaddress i get to the routers login box? and cnt seem to get directed to my machine...

      is thier anything i can check

      You cannot see it locally. You have to check it from external IP or 127.0.0.1

      oooo cheeers i never knew dat well if dats the case sure i can add a entry in the host file and then it will work yeh? cause i did this with plus net some time bak lol

      also while at this i mite need your advise..what i wana do is share my documents which is virtual directory? how do i get users to log on b4 they can view all the documents?

      What are you using Apache or IIS? IIS its under User Permissions or Accounts, and apache you can use htaccess files

      Im using IIS

      so do i have to restiurct the everyone group?
