      Angry Slower than dial up?

Just sent this to Broadband Technical Support [BroadbandTechnicalSupport@BSkyB.com] but keep getting it returned as undeliverable. Anyway my "broadband" connection seems slower than dial-up any ideas?

      Technical Support

I have a problem with my broadband connection in that the actual speed appears to be even slower than a dial-up modem. Once, for a couple of hours last week, it was almost acceptable and I achieved download speeds of 120K (which is far less than I would expect of a 2M connection) but it was OK. Since then (and before) I have been getting very poor responses of 12-16K (slower than modem speeds). Here are some test results from Namesco BroadbandMax ADSL Broadband Bandwidth speedtest | Test your ADSL Broadband connection speed
      Last Result:
Download Speed: 130 kbps (16.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 381 kbps (47.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

      These are typical.

The stats from the actual router would indicate I should be getting something far better :

System Up Time 00:07:54 Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 222 258 0 98 1025 00:04:44
      LAN 10M/100M 1397 1025 0 2571 337 00:07:52
      WLAN 11M/54M 132 0 0 100 0 00:07:42

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4640 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 54.0 db 31.0 db
      Noise Margin 7.3 db

Can you offer any advice? I am, apparently, 2.2Km from the exchange. I do have an extension cable but I did have decent response once!

It would appear that Sky have now stopped receiving email on that address, unfortunately you will have to use this.

      Sky.com - Customer Support>Contact Us>Kana Form

      And start all over again.
