after that i can request a mac code
No - Your line would be CLEAR. No ISP, So it will be another 7-Days before your new ISP would be active.

what happens if i was given a mac code today and went to talktalk would talktalks order fail?
If they are able to get you a MAC code, Then it looks positive - To say they can intervene at this point to change the order. Which looks almost impossible if you ask me.

Best thing is to speak to provisioning, Confirm with them the order status, Whats happening, Also if you are looking to change ISPs, As Sky may just wait for the cancellation then restart your broadband, As a re-connection.

Also bare in mind you ARE in a 12 Months agreement for your TV and Broadband
