firewalls will having more than one cause problems?

hi all ....just a brain picking exercise .......

a friend has just joined sky ...max package....and is having problems loading pages or getting in to the router stats, and i was wondering if having windows firewall + norton firewall + router firewall all working at the same time could be causing the sort of problems he is experiencing....?any thoughts on this would be appreciated Dave

Having more than one software firewall (e.g. Windows + Norton) is unneccessary & can cause problems.

I would temporarily disable the firewall on the PC and then just double check Internet Explorer.

Open IE and at the top should be tools, click on Internet options > Connections > Make sure Never dial a connection is ticked > Click on LAN settings > Make sure the top 2 are unticked and also that there is no tick in Use a proxy server > click OK > click OK to close and then try again.
