      STOP errors

I now have another problem - i keep getting STOP Errors. It seems to be when im using Azereus. I have turned off UPnP (as my i kept losing connection) and port forwarded as ive been advised to and the speeds of download seem to be improving, but now im getting thse errors and my computer just automatically restarts. Does anyone have any suggestions what i can do?

Also my connection speed fluctuates between 1.8Mbps and 9Mbps. As a Max customer im not happy with this- any ideas for that too?

      Re: STOP errors

When it restarts, Does it show a flicker of blue screen "BSOD"?

Are you connected via a USB Wireless Dongle? The Sky router wouldnt really cause your computer to restart unless there was a LAN Driver error or something along those lines - Which again are problems on the PC side..

How often do these restarts happen? What do you have open when the restarts happen e.g. Azereus?

      Re: STOP errors

      Im using a wired connection.

It flickers a quick blue screen with a helluva lot of text on there, but it disappears far too quick to read and my PC reboots. I sent an error report to Microsoft and it mentions something about device drivers.

It only tends to happen when im downloading from Azereus and possibly when it gets above a certain speed. Ive never had a problem with this before i port forwarded this morning. Do you have any ideas?

      Re: STOP errors

Yes that blue screen is called BSOD, You can Pause those messages by hitting the "PAUSE" button on your keyboard - Always wondered what that was for.

Anyways, It seems that something is up with your network card - Not really Sky!

What is the make and model of the computer - Do you know what type of network card you have?
