Hi, did a big test yesterday - setup the connection at 9am and by 10pm still going strong! the upnp has definitely done something. For some reason it works better if you DONT reboot the router software as this looks like it resets it all.
so.... anyone want to buy a netgear router? as Ive got 2 now and Im not paying postage back to Deli customer services its going on ebay in a couple of weeks!!

Ebay will delete your posting and send you a warning! Sky have been on to Ebay about there routers appearing on there. Loads were removed a month or so ago. I would keep it as a spare if I were you, save you ringing Sky next time it goe's wrong.

Well so we are told but it's some rubbish about Sky logo's and software in the router etc etc etc. If you search this forum for "Can I sell my Sky router" you will find mention of Ebay listings being deleted by Ebay. I think they don't want to get into a ruck with Sky!!!

Just to let you know, the removing of the UPnP tick has made a heck of a lot of difference for me! No drops (the odd website throwing a bit of a wobbly, but that's it), Messenger staying connected and the PS3 connecting when I turn it on!

Why don't Sky tell you this is a bug???

Re: Router seeming to drop connection

I've been increasingly suffering from (I think) interference from new WiFi networks being set up close to my home. It's got so bad that I couldn't connect because the signal strength went right down to one pip for many hours during the day.

I took the advice on changing the Sky router channel (I chose Channel 6) and I have an instant improvement - and a connection for the first time today. Much appreciate the advice around here - thanks.
