Connection speeds vastly different to those reported by router

      Hi all,

I'm new here so apologies if this is in the wrong section - please let me know if so.

Just had Sky Max installed this morning and I'm experiencing download speeds of about 165kb/sec, and lower results on speedtests at thinkbroadband.com etc.

I'm confused as my netgear modem diagnostics report the following:

      4918 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 44.0 db 26.2 db
Noise Margin 12.2 db 12.5 db

I found an article on these forums which says i should expect 80-90% of the 4918kbps but I'm getting nowhere near this? Or am I missing something?

      Thanks.
