      pathping

Can someone do me a favour and post a pathping to w w w.betfair.c om. I'm looking at moving to sky cos tiscali put me on their badboy pipe for downloading 7gb in a month ? and need to know how fast I could connect to betfair and how many hops as I use that site alot.

      just need to type

      pathping 212.62.21.242 >>test.txt

in a command prompt window and it'll put the details in a text file in your documents and settings folder so it can easily be cut and pasted.

      Thanks.

      Re: pathping

thanks for that - do you have the Computing statistics for 225 seconds...

as that should show the average speeds for each hop

      thanks again

      Re: pathping

It should write them to the text file but only after the 225 seconds has passed. I guess you may have opened up the file before it had finsihed the 225 seconds and therefore not written the data to the file.

      If you type

      tracert 212.62.21.228

in the command prompt it''ll show you the time in ms don't worry about the ones that are *'s . The speeds should be around the 10ms mark.

      Thanks for your help

      Unhappy Re: pathping

Thanks alot for all our help , that's all the info I was looking for .

The timed out requests just means the router isn't returning the pings which is to be expected on some routers but the 35ms don't seem to good
