      Was good, but not now

I have had skybb for a while now and after help from people on this board (thanks to all) i got my router stable. All was going well with acceptable speeds and a router stated speed of 4408, all this at very stable connection. So i was a very happy chappy, but this last week the speeds have gone to pot. The line noise margin went so low that it cut the connection (and by low i mean down to 4.1) so a router re-set and im back on... but at 1127 this is at 11am on a tuesday!!! then a bit later the lnm is up to 27.6! so a router re-set and im up to over 5000 (but i knew that was not sustainable) on some days its so low i cannot connect at all , I have spoken to sky who said i will get a call from t3 as they will need to check the exchange. that was 5 days ago so im expecting a call soon.
btw, i have connected direct into the master and used hard wired connection but it makes no difference.
Is this sort of thing likely if i got capped? I only ask as i have been off work and my work place has been sending a lot (400+ meg) of data to me and i have uploaded similar amounts.
I have the mid package and i don't see that that is too much or is it?

If your line has a lot of errors and you are shifting that sort of volume of data then you could well hit problems.

Please post your full router stats (use Mognut's utility - tech forum sticky).

Re: Was good, but not now

Ok sorry for the delay but i needed a reasonable up-time to get some stats.
i have a number of .cfg files but most of them only show a up-time of a few minutes (today has been better, but stated speeds of about 1200)
anyway, here is the cfg file.

Re: Was good, but not now

Your line errors are very high:
      • CRCs several hundred times higher than "acceptable"
      • Loss of signal incredibly high (8 a second)
      • errored seconds running at nearly 50% of total seconds in some periods

These errors are also not consistent: compare the latest 15 min with the previous 15 min - CRCs are lower by about 65% and the loss of signal down to a reasonable level.

You now need to determine whether this is down to your internal connection/wiring or your line to the exchange. To do this you need to connect your router directly to the test socket (not the master socket) with the supplied router cable. Reboot the router and leave it connected for at least 3-4 hours, using the connection heavily in this time. Then take the stats.

Ok as you might expect it will be tomorrow before i have the data. Btw I haven't had a call back from T3 yet! I'm not too worried about that until we have exhausted all possibilities here.
I will connect direct to the test socket and use the supplied leads. i'm sure i can find something to ensure a high usage!

OK. One thing to watch is that now you have a ticket logged with T3, if they take a look at your line and see those errors, there's every chance they'll cap you before they get back to you.
