      Need a little help please....

Hi, I have recently bought a laptop and have just installed Sky Broadband. The problem is I can not connect to the internet, if I type in (for example) Google - A message pops up saying 'cant connect to internet' or page not regonised - something like that. However, if I type in the IP address for google.co.uk - I can access that particular internet page. It seems that my laptop can not recognise DNS, but does recognise IP address. I have spoken to SKY BB support, but they have not been able to resolve the problem and I am not sure what else to try! Any suggestions?

      Hi

Go to Internet Explorer > tools > Internet Options > Connections > make sure never dial a connection is ticked > click Lan settings > make sure no ticks in the top 2 boxes and also no tick in proxy server.

Then try again and report back
