      Problems browsing

      On Friday I had a few problrms getting logged to MSN Messenger, Saturday was the same but I was able to get on to some websites but not sites like myspace and youtube...I spoke to Sky and they sait that there were a few problems with my local exchange and that it would be fixed. In Sunday I had the same problems and I rung Sky again this time getting through to level 2 support, they weren't sure how to sort the problem or what was causing it. They told me to change my DNS settings to another server but I still had the problems. Is there anyone thats had the same problem...if so I was it resolved. I had ve PC connected and neither browse very well!

      There were deffiiately problems with MSN Friday see this thread loads of people couldn't get on not just Sky customers, also I was having problems with MSN last night, msn down again ?
      Dont know if this is related to your problems or not.
      Problem at the exchange seems to be the default answer from Sky when they dont know whats wrong.

      It looks like I do have the same problems as everyone else...I'll check it when I get home and see if I can get on if not then I'll try the sky lot!

      I had the same problem since Friday also, I found packets to microsoft.com are being dropped by a router at Telehouse. MSN doesn't conect.
      I've reported this to sky and I got the usual 5 day call back, god sky is ****

      Same problem with mine since the weekend, i was told that the my IP address has been change to a greenfield IP by TS level 3.

      Having same problems. got a call from them today and was supposed to be all working fine now....yea right!

      what about you guys in the cambridge area?

      I have the same issues, it seems to be non UK based websites that are badly affected.

      The first 4 support calls kept telling me it was my OS (I gave the choice of OSX, XP or Vista) but finally last night I got through to someone who put me onto tier 3 support who has escalated it to the people who manage the excange (cant remember who he said) but he said they have a 5-7 working day turnaround! Looks like it wont be fixed for the weekend so no online gaming! And to annoy me even more I get my PS3 on Friday but I'm willing to bet the PS3 internet site isnt based in the UK!

      As far as I aware the problems are still hanging about! Bit annoyed now cos I've only been with sky a month or so...having been with NTL....it's not a good advert really!! I'll ring tomorrow and see if the problem has been resolved...!

      apparently the problem is with our exchange and is being 'monitored'. Will give a ring in a bit and let you guys know. but i dont know why they rang up to say it was all working fine now!?
