      No internet light finally reconnected for those interested

      Hi,

      A week or so back there was a thread about someone having their line accidently ceased by checking the BT website and checking the history on the landline. It was said by people on there to let them know when their line is re-connected. About a week after telling them and constantly hassling them with phone calls it has now been reconnected and working fine again. Turns out they accepted that it was an accidental cease put on the line and that it was their fault and re-imbursed me.

      Thanks again for the help and hope the other people who had problems got theirs sorted too. If anyone else has this problem let me know and I will let you know how I got it sorted.

      I'm sure they'll be interested to know how you finally sorted it although, it does appear that sky have realised that something in their system may have been asking for ceases to be put on peoples lines for no apparent reason.

      Glad they (Sky) are finally sorting it out.

      Lol thanks its good to be back.

      Just a shame the people at sky didnt let me speak to 3rd line even though I asked numerous times would have been sorted a lot quicker. Not impressed at being down for 2 weeks but judging by what other people have been saying it could have been a lot worse and as long as I dont have any further problems im happy.

      Wondering whether anyone else affected used a mac code that may have been delayed and kicked in two days later or something and if they were with Virgin.net before hand

      I'm on day 6 of my outage, currently waiting on the call back from Tier 3. 3 working days is today, 5 will be Wednesday so we'll see.

      FYI, I also used a MAC code, but migrated from IDNet.

      I'm still waiting to be reconnected. Well, I say reconnected, but I've never been able to connect in the first place. However, according to BT, on the phone and on the website, and also Sky, there have been no ceases put on my line. However, I still have no internet light after 11 days!! It's currently with BT to find a fault, for the second time!! As they closed it off the first time, as they could not find a fault.

      Come home from work today, and find that I have been connected. Yippee!! It's only 3 months late!! No idea what the issue was, but it was raised with BT TWICE, as they closed the ticket the first time, saying there was nothing wrong with my line. Will now see how it performs over the next few weeks ...
