      Same here.

Both myself (St Bedes Crescent) and my mother-in-law (Cherry Hinton Road) have been experiencing the very same problems that are detailed above.

My missus has been phoning sky for the past couple of days, and told to delete temporay intenet files, cookies, disable Mcaferee, disable Norton etc... We did all that, and still nish. I got the hump last night and phoned them up myself as I really needed to go on-line.

Firstly got throught to some lady in India, which was a little stressfull to say the least, I needed to tell her a couple of time not to speak to me as if I was a remedial, and did everything that my partner did again.

Finally I got through to level 2 support (some fella in Ireland) and he confirmed that it was the Cherry Hinton Exchange that was up the spout. He said that the exchange was ok looking for IP addresses, he gave me a few to try and they all worked fine, but apparantly the exchange doesn't recognise the www etc form.

They are phoning me back tonight.

Spoke to my mother-in-law afterwards as she was getting a little stressed to say the least, who confimed that she was also told that it was the Cherry Hinton Exchange that was faulty.

Come on Sky sort it out !!!

I've just spoken on the phone to my missus, and she's saying that there is still no joy.

Then she text'd me to say that she can get on her Lloyds TSB Banking site, but still no hotmail, Sky, Ebay and all the others that are in general use.

So, no ......... no change !!

Not good then....when I got the Level 2 lot on Sunday night a London number came up on my CLI....I'm going to ring that later and see if I bypass the muppets and get straight through to level 2!

Re: Unable to connect to Microsoft but bbc is OK

I got through to level 2 last night - some Irish fella incidently, we faffed around for a little while trying various things to very little sucess. When I asked for his number so that I could call level 2 directly he said that he wasn't alowed to do that, but I've got a 'ticket number' so when I get though initially then apparently if I just quote that number I should get through - I won't hold my breath though.

I'm getting the propa hump over all this

I've got a call ref ... off the top of my head I was asked to ring 08702 404040 and quote the ref....then got told that the level 2 lot has had a system failure! I'll try the 0207 number and then put it on here later...if I get a result!

Re: Unable to connect to Microsoft but bbc is OK

      Here my update
I still can't get at microsoft etc. so I call sky again, gave my ref number, I was then told that my ticket was never raised...... another hour on the phone and lots of silly troubleshooting, I now have a ticket and was told 5 days for a call. The guy was nice and pushed it up to level 2 while I waited and it's a tier 3 job.
Words really fail as the poor service but I now hope it's under investigation.

Re: Unable to connect to Microsoft but bbc is OK

I have just spoken to sky tier2 and they told me that as of 20th March there has been a official problem registered about the Cherry Hinton exchange and that it is now in the hands of engineers to sort the problem. I was told to ring back tomorrow and to ask check the Cherry Hinton, Cambridge exchange browsing problems and whether it is now closed or on going. All tickets raised against this have now been closed as they will be resolved but the engineer visit to the exchange. When the enginner has found out and fxed the problem the official problem will be closed...if we are still having problems then...then we are to ring back and go through the motions all over again!

      Fingers crossed..!
