If your router is still syncing with the exchange and you can't connect, it means Sky have taken over. If your router is not syncing, then they have not yet enabled your line. Hopefully, you are syncing and connecting the Sky router will put you right back on line.

      Re: Connect for 5??

      Hi folks,

I've been on Connect @ 17 since the end of Dec. In early Feb, Customer Relations said I would start being billed at the 5 rate but this didn't happen. I wrote to remind them of this at the end of last week.

Today, I've had trouble getitng any connection - the Sky test in the router returned error 300 of not detecting an internet connection for about 4 hours.

Intermitently, I got online for a few minutes but got three different ip addresses assigned: 81.152.141.xx, 217.32.29.1xx and now it's set to 90.194.119.2xx. The last one is a Sky ip and the previous ones are BT I believe... is this a sign that they tried moving to Mid or could this be anything (like problems at the exchange)?

      Thanks

      Re: Connect for 5??

That first letter is abit misleading, I really wish Sky would change the wording. It should say on the letter that you first bill will be 60.50 minus any discounts your are on, so it will be 60.50 minus 12.00 (your Sky Broadband discount from 17.00 down to 5) = 48.50, which is your full TV Package and your broadband price.

      Re: Connect for 5??

Ah, i thought it might have been something like that, plus it will be the first payment they have taken for the connection, and i have had it for pretty much a month now, so if payments are taken in advance then it would be 2 x 5 for this month and the next one with is about the ammount they have as my next payment.

      Silly buggers.
