      Re: Connect for 5??

I too left Plusnet for Sky. I explained in the ticket requesting the MAC that I was leaving for purely financial reasons and the MAC was delivered to me within 24 hours. You can give your notice when you ask for the MAC, provided you have been accepted by Sky. As mentioned above, you will have between 2 and 4 days downtime, as Sky, for some stupid reason will not send your router until BT confirm that your line has been changed. My speed is no better with Sky than it was with Plusnet, but I think that is down to the router being inferior to my previous one. If you had a USB connection you will see a big improvement. I have no complaints about Sky, but you will find, unlike Plusnet, there is no official Comms team on the forum. So you have no one to moan at if things go wrong.

One final point, when you ask for your MAC ask them to set up a free PAYG dial-up account. This ensures that any late emails will still be delivered and also maintains your access to the Plusnet forum. If you have already raised the ticket, it would be worth while raising another for this purpose.

      Re: Connect for 5??

Ok, i have put my order in and they said it was for 5 for 6 months with which it should be converted over onto LLU once the exchange is done. He did say sky gaurentee that the exchange will get LLU'd in that time so if it doesn't then i have come back and they will not be switching me to 17.99 after 6 months.

I also corrected him on the 5 days the router should be with me. I said that i know for a fact that sky don't send routers out until your line has been switched by BT to Sky. He said that he had never heard that one, so i told him the should change what they tell the customer for connect packages. lol

Hopefully we shall see how long it takes them.

They have 5 working days for the router (according to him)
And it should be 15 working days max until the line is activated.

      I timing them

my exchange will not be LLU enabled by SKY
This appears to contradict the norm, as Sky will not give you Connect at 5 if the exchange is not being enabled within 6 months. You are charged the full 17 if the exchange is not being enabled in this period, or if it is enabled and fully subscribed.

Is it possible to use BT's site to check to see what the status is with my sky order?
