The sky router is designed to be left on all the time, this will give you an 'always on' internet connection. In other words, as long as the router is turned on and plugged into the socket, it is connected to the net. Don't worry about the 'i' light flickering now and again this is probably just a minor 'blip' (technical term) in the connection.

Just make sure your pc has an adequate firewall and up-to-date antivirus software and you should experience no problems.

Also, make sure you change the password on the sky router from the preset defaults. Check out the tutorials on this site for setting up the router and you should be fine.

My internet light on the router, sort of blinks once at regular intervals even when all the computers in the house are turned off, It has WPA turned on and Mac sercurity on, so I think its just the sync between router and the exchange.
