      Sky & VPN

I have been using a vpn for around a week and all has been fine, until today when I found I could not access news.sky.com.
All week this has not been an issue, it only started today.

Disabled vpn and a reboot and I can access the site again.

      Does sky not like vpn's?
If so, how come it took a week for anything to happen?

I would think it far more likely that the VPN you are using is junk. Having said that Sky, probably, don't like VPNs as they cannot spam you with "targeted" adverts and such. I just use Adblock Plus which deals with 95% of the crap that sites try to throw at me.

      Re: Sky & VPN

I've used torguard, and now airvpn for ages with 0 problems. Sometimes a vpn server gets flagged because of what other people are using it for, it might be that, just switch to another. It's hard to find a good vpn, they all lie and say they'll work with catchup etc and they never do without extra charges or extra fiddling.

      Re: Sky & VPN

I am with NordVPN. It has very good reviews and comes highly reccomended.
Strange that whilst yesterday I could not access news.sky.com, I could access the sksports web site.
