Question regarding Connected speed & Downstream Handback Threshold

Ive been wondering this for months, My Downstream Handback threshold is 12.6mb, Ive been sync’d to my cabinet for months at around 15mb (sometimes 14 or 16) But I can never get speeds over that of my downstream Handback threshold, is this normal?

I contacted sky a few months back about it and they said as im connected to the cabinet above my predicted speeds there is nothing they can do.

The handback threshold is your sync speed not your download speed
you should get about 13mbit on a 15mbit sync when wired into the router btw

Re: Auestion regarding Connected speed & Downstream Handback Threshold

The 'Handback' speed is the lowest acceptable speed for your connection. If you line drops below this rate you can 'hand back' your fibre line withour penalty and revert to what you had previously.
