      Question Sky Fibre Max. Disconnects every hour precisely. Help please

      Hello,


      I recently switched from ADSL to Fibre Max. It was activated on the 13 of Nov. All good until midday 16th of Nov. I started getting disconnects every hour. From my router's log:


      Line 4490: Nov 16 15:24:20 DSL: Link up -> down
      Line 4553: Nov 16 15:25:35 DSL: Link up -> down
      Line 4624: Nov 16 16:25:28 DSL: Link up -> down
      Line 4691: Nov 16 16:26:52 DSL: Link up -> down
      Line 4765: Nov 16 17:26:46 DSL: Link up -> down
      Line 4832: Nov 16 17:27:59 DSL: Link up -> down
      Line 4915: Nov 16 18:27:53 DSL: Link up -> down

      Surely that's on purpose, disconnects are timed precisely. I find it really annoying. I was working from home today, and my remote desktop was constantly disconnecting it the worst possible moment. What could be causing it?


      After the Fibre Max got active, I had an email from Sky, saying that in a couple of days some tests will be performed on my line. Is that what's causing the disruption?

      the modem is not the best in the 68u.. there have been issues.

      I would suggest either asking for a line test and consider using your sky supplied router to see if the same line drops are occurring.

      Yes, it was the router. The problem was gone after a reboot. Shame.
      I quite like some of the feature DSL-AC68U is offering. If it starts happening again - I'll hook it up via Sky Q.
