      Sky Fibre router recommendations

      Good Evening,

Been looking through the Known Working Third Party routers thread, helpful but been getting myself lost there.

I am waiting to place the actual broadband order until Sky Q TV gets installed, as apparently this needs to complete before ordering FTTC fibre broadband.

So I'm looking to get one of the following (based on which one is the easiest and less complicated to set up, reliable and whether they will actually work on Sky Fibre 76mb).

      - Netgear NightHawk D7000 (Amazon)
      - Netgear D6400 (Amazon)
      - TP Link AC1600/AC1900 (Amazon) which will be better out of the two?
      - Asus DSL-AC56U or DSL-AC68U which will be better out of the two?

Looking to buy from Amazon in case of it not working, I can easily send back.

I would be wanting the router to be combined so no need for an external modem (enough cables already ). Whilst setting up, is it still needed to extract the Sky username/password via WireShark from my Q Hub. If so, can this be done on Mac?

      Many thanks, greatly appreciated,
      NE.

I would avoid the dsl68u. the modem is known to be very poor.
can't comment on the other all in ones as I only use seperates.

you don't need to extract anything. the format needs to be

      whateveryoulike@skydsl|passwordofyourchoice

      this is for option 61
      billion 8800nl V1 (bridge mode)
      Qotom i5 Opnsense with IPV6
      Asus RT-AC88U - as wap

      Re: Sky Fibre router recommendations

I did use the ac1900 tp link last year as an all in one it was all good. I then had sky q fitted and took it back. Now have a bt home hub 6 in bridge mode which is fine. I have been looking at the newer TP link archer vr2800 but dunno whether I will bother.
