Windows 7 network has to be reset evry ime PC reboots

We just got broadband fibre with the Sky Q box.

All our Apple devices connect just fine to the wireless but our windows PC has started having network configuration problems where it constantly asks to log in to the broadband.

I can fix the issue temporarily by resetting the TCP using the netsh commands but the issue comes back again after a few hours or after the PC reboots. I notice looking at the IP config that all the settings are now IPv6.

Would it be a good idea to staic config with just IPv4 settings or is this a known problem with the sky Q box and windows 7?

Any reason you didn’t take the free upgrade to Windows 10 option?
Although not sure it’s free anymore.

I didn't want it as it was so buggy at the time and I prefer Windows 7.

I changed the router to stop providing IPv6 addresses and then renewed the DHCP lease on the PC and it started working again from the browser so it looks like an IPv6 issue or conflict. I didn't need to statically config the PC.

you could just edit the network adapter and untick ipv6 so the pc would only acquire ipv4 via dhcp. my win10 network works absolutely fine with both ipv4 and 6
