How Unlimited is Unlimited (Talking Terabytes)

      Hi,

I have Sky Fibre Max unlimited and have recently signed up for a cloud backup subscription to serve as my offsite backup for my computers and data.

The initial backup is in the region of 7tb (university research, photography, raw footage, archived documents etc...) and will take about 45 days total to backup. I am now half-way through this at just under 4tb uploaded this month.

I am slightly worried sky won't be happy about the data usage, however I did tell the guy on the phone when I upgraded to sky fibre max that I was going to be uploading this much after he was surprised to see the 1.5tb at the time for the currently monthly usage - he just laughed.

I have tried to tell sky it will be just an initial backup and then level out back around 200gb a month or so average.

      Should I be concerned?
Anyone else used this much data?
Any way I can inform them of my use case?

5 years I've been with Sky Fibre, and never once has anyone complained. Have pulled 1-3TB a month.

I've seen 2Tb+ usage on ADSL accounts without usage issues, so on Fibre you need to seriously try harder!!!

Sky Unlimited means what it says.

Unless it looks like your PC is a spambot then it wont be restricted.
