Sky Fibre activated next week - cabinet question

I am having Sky Fibre activated next week, and wondered if there was any way I could find out which cabinet I would be connected to.... there is one at the end of my street, so I am hoping it is that one, to maximise the speeds I will get!

      BTs ADSL checker:
      https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.address
should show the exchange and cabinet number your home is connected to in the form:
Address <ADDRESS>,<POSTCODE> on Exchange <NAME> is served by Cabinet ##
Check whether Cabinet ## is the same as the number on the PCP (not DSLAM) cabinet at the end of your street.

that's a brilliant resource - thank you very much. I will check on my way home tonight.

The figures for FTTC - 80Mbps download (high) and 61.Mbps download (low) - are they good? I know I will get a maximum of 40Mbps on the product I have signed up to, I am hoping with those figures I can get close to that?

The cabinet is about 200m from my house - is that fairly close in real terms?

This article should answer your questions:
thinkbroadband :: Fibre Broadband (FTTC / FTTH) Guide
      Remember:
      • Distances are rarely straight lines on the map as telephone cables follow roads or public footpaths.
      • Download speeds you measure yourself will be less than the actual connection speed due to overheads required by the network protocol (TCP/IP). I do not know which automated speed checkers take this into account.

BT preventing links direct to their resources.
As hutchinsondave states above, then click on "AddressChecker" followed by proceed.

Not applicable in this instant but if no cabinet number is given it usually indicates that the property is served by an "Exchange only Line" and FTTC is not currently available.
